Draining performa primary circuit to change CH/HW diverter

What is the knack?
1. Remove 3/4 blanking cap of flow isolation valve.
2. Remove M/V head and with a blunt instrument push the diverter pin down about halfway.
3. Leave the boiler drain cock open at the same time and then watch it run out of the open ended isolation valve ..Should get about half a bucket full

Thanks for that - that will be useful.

Would you have a sequence for removal of the diverter - which joint to undo first etc.

I still dont know how I am going to undo the 3/4 nut holding the bypass pipe to the Diverter valve - any ideas? Have I just got to get a stubby spanner in there or is there some other tool you would use?

1. Do it in any sequence it does not matter as long as all the water is out
2. Get yourself a good tap wrench very handy for getting on those tricky :p nuts
