I reckon the easiest has already been mentioned. Clad on end panels. I'm not sure if Magnet supply clad on panels, but I'm sure other suppliers do and will almost certainly be available in a very similar colour.

Yes joinerjohn, you're right an end panel's the easiest way to do it assuming he's got the room to fit one.

a dutchman works on solid timber,personally i think it will look pants on the side of a kitchen unit?
plus unless you could get an exact match i think this route could make it look a lot worse then it is already.
