Dripping Tap - Can't get tap off

None of the Allen keys seem to bite to be able to remove it.

Are you sure the screw heads are hex (to take an Allen key) rather than Torx or a plain slot?

Also, just found my thread where I replaced my cartridges. Twice!

Fitting replacement tap cartridge.

I have a dripping tap so I need to change the cartridge. Are pattern parts ok or should I stick to original? If so, where can I get them from? It’s a Bristan easy fit.

That don't look like the Op's mixer and nor did the Bristan MI's I found, so it could be completely different design!

@Woggle you need to try and show us where those orifices in the tap (for Allen keys etc) are. If they're under the hot and cold arms of the tap and not at the base of the spout then likely they are how you release the handles to get at the cartridges. Suggest you get a mirror and torch to try and look into them, to see what tool bit is required.

Great. Thanks. Yes, they are under the hot and cold arms of the tap. I'm out at the moment but will have a look when I get back and take some photos. It definitely different to the photo above.

Then they are the housings for the fixings that are holding the tap heads and shrouds on to the cartridges/valves.

Unfortunately not making a huge amount of progress. First photo is from the top, second photo is from the side (unfortunately the side of the handle doesn't come off) and the last is from the underside.

I'm convinced it's the underside which should unscrew and open the fixings but I'm struggling to get anything in there which will bite enough to undo it.

Any final thoughts? Thanks all for the help!

3rd photo is the one.
You need a decent set of hex keys/bits... Both imperial and metric.
You've found the lock.
You now need the right key.
