Andy has got it right, "go buy a new tap" and make sure it is a branded tap, so you can get spares. I've used SMR Bathrooms many times to buy bathroom taps, as the are cheap, fast and reliable. They sell Hudson Reed and Crosswater, both good quality and you can always get spares. Forget eBay, it's a false economy!

A bit unecessary if you read my post above yours!

( and it's not a bathroom tap!)
