Driving is getting worse?

i was ready for breaking an old b4stards legs this morning.

accident on motorway so the sliproad was merging in 1 by 1

he sat right up the 4rse of the car in front and wouldnt let me in whilst pretending to look out the drivers window.

the traffic was crawling....

tooted the horn and gave him an earfull and a few hand gestures that arnt in the highway code..

all to stay 1 car in front on a crawlin m-way???????

i sat behind him for a good 3miles right up his 4rse...

i get mad even thinking about it now :D

Opening myself up for a bashing here, but here goes......

A quick straw poll - just how do I get onto my own drive without some cock blaring their horn / flashing their lights / shouting abuse (funny how they only do it when they're going past, not when you can stop and ask them what's the problem?)

I live on a main road, five houses past a left turn. It's a 40 limit, although many drive much faster than that.

Because I'm just past a left turn, I can't indicate too early, lest someone thinks it's the left that I'm after. I tend to let the speed fade down (uphill slightly, gentle braking just before the left), then pop the indicator on just as I pass the left. Cue frequent abuse / gesturing, etc.

I can't really see any other way of doing it (other than moving house, or telling them to b@ll@X) :evil:
 
oh, and while we are on the subject of crap drivers, may I suggest something?

Get their make and reg., and any other vehicles that you can remember at the time, and 'phone plod.

Given that the only official endorsement most tossers are likely to get is if they speed past a camera / laser van, this may be a rare opportunity to stop them before they kill some poor innocent.

I would think about indicating a little earlier unless there is someone waiting to pull out. Slowing down before indicating just winds people up if they don't understand the situation.

Well I've been driving 25 years now, a miss is a mile in my book. I could care less about perceptions of other peoples driving.

sitting in front of a computer i admit it doesnt sound like much.
but its the fact everyone was merging in 1 by 1.its the done thing
about 10 people all merged in 1 by 1
then this old git in a 1.1 corsa its right up the arse of the guy in front pretending to look the other way.

Can someone explain why it is, that, no matter what town, residents of a certain foreign disposition, do not, never ever wait at junctions, but will just pull out blocking one lane and then expecting to be let in? Or just pull out generally when turning left?

And then, as if by magic, a bit further up the road where predominantly indigenous residents live, drivers wait patiently at junctions for a gap in the traffic or untill someone lets them out?

I did wonder if they took different driving tests, and then it occured to me .... "driving test?" :rolleyes: LMFAO

I've noticed an increase in people approaching road ends at speed, as if they know their way forward is going to be clear. A lot of time its at such a speed that they wouldnt be able to stop if their way wasnt clear. Some berk in a 4x4 pulled right out in front of me the other day in such a manner, then 200yds down the road turned left without signalling. :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: I leaned right forwards so he could see me gesticulating.

YESSSSSSS....Lets all do that....!!!!!! So that the 'old bill' take even 'longer' getting around to some poor old girls desperate phonecall...telling them that theres a scumbag burglar downstairs in her house...........
BUT ....NO...its ok.......It was justified.......someone beeped at you.
