god i hate it when you cant go any quicker/ overtake etc and you get some one drive up your tail.
Today on way to work, ha d this man drive right up close, real real closezigzagging and he was so close I could see his face scowling.
All this because I wouldnt close up on the wagon infront. There was long stream of traffic and also stream of cars coming other way and I couldnt go faster ot overtake.
This was real intimidating and I felt that he was doing it because he knew I couldnt do much about it.

saw your post about taxi driver.. (ride from hell?)

no. it wasnt a taxi.
I felt sure he wouldnt have done it if Id had a man in the car too!!!!

I thought , "where do you get off bully boy""...

It was intimidating but I was more concerned about having an accident with this guy up my chuff.

little trick i use. put your rear fog light on. some only work with the headlights on too though, but i find it works quite well - it dazzles them and makes them back off.

hmmm.. will try that.. did my best   look in the mirror!!

night night all. work again in morning.. early!!!!!!!! arghhhhhhhhh

if all else fails, the old 2-finger salute might work. or it could make them drive closer . . .

had same thing this morning lol young gurl could see her blue eyes (glarin) in me rearview mirror, I went even slower the road ahead was clear she starts to overtake me screeeeech her brakes went as she spotted the toll camera that i was slown down for he heee.

Anyone does that now I just apply my brakes  . If they hit me it's them who is at fault. They'll get done for driving too close, no driving with due care and attention etc.....

I remember once when I was quite young, driving home down a dark country bypass. no other cars around and suddenly this car appeared from nowhere and tail gated me. I moved into next lane, so did he. I went faster, so did he. I left the by-pass and so did he. He followed me right until I turned into the estate we lived on and I was so terrified I sat in the car and beeped the horn until hubby came out. Then I burst into tears and told him what happened.

Thankfully, as upset as I was, I'd had the presence of mind to memorise his reg no. Hubs phoned the local police station and told them what had happened. Apparently, this guy had been doing it and getting away with it for weeks and they'd had loads of complaints but no reg no until then.

About a month later the village bobby came to see us and said they'd caught the guy in the act of doing it to another woman, stopped him and thrown the book at him.

Makes me shudder to think of what might have happened if any one of us had broken down

not the same thing as happened to me. it was so foggy, you could not see past the front of the car, so everyone on the road-and there were like 3 cars-were driving slowly and allowing everyone some room. I never saw him (yes a him) coming until split second he hit-in one of those big 4x4 double gas tanks on each side pickup truck...blam.....truck (mine) went veering right through bridge railing...into water (water level was down) and hit fallen tree in water (part of truck on it)....scary, scary, scary

found out later....he was unaware (or so he says) that he hit anything....but could not explain the dent in his front/side bumper. He did send flowers...probably prompted by his lawyer. oh well....

i hate driving anymore...just dont have a choice :(

Mlb3c you will get better and get over it honestly. Make yourself drive again as soon as you can.

I was a nightmare passenger for about 3 years after my accident but you do get your confidence back, honestly - just takes time that's all.

If you'd seen the mess my car was in you'd never have guessed I would drive again but i do - have to or wouldn't be able to go out
