Dry Testing - Worth It Or Not?

Quick air test to check for open ends and unmade joints, water test to required pressure after.
Link flow and return, pressure gauge and a 15mm valve. Hoselock spigot onto valve threads, plug your hose in and away you go.
Pressure up, valve off.

Just to upate this thread with results;

Went down the route of hooking up a hose pipe onto the 22mm flow pipe (via a reducer). Closed all the valves and let it go.

Had 2 dribbles, which just needed a little nip-up. Once the water stopped flowing, I let some air out via the last end-stop......and came around 100mm from taking my head off..... should have known better. Anway, got the air out, end-stop back on and left it alone for a few hours to make sure no new drips appeared. Then did the same again on the return.

The pressure is only around 1.5 bar, but a fair test before the plumber comes to connect up the boiler.

Thanks for all the advice.
