The DUP did their arithmetic and knew that the bills would be passed anyway although only by 5 votes.
The DUP was originally offered a full blown coalition with Tories after the last election but they turned it down because they considered it undemocratic and they didn't want to be tied to the Tories as the Tories now have a bad reputation.
They chose a confidence and supply agreement which means every issue is considered on its merits.
The agreement was to help the Tories get Brexit through the Commons , however what Theresa May is doing is a betrayal of Brexit voters in their opinion.

Blimey it took him
Long enough to google it
Or it could just be that I hadn't been back to this topic.

But carry on assuming that everybody must be as hard-of-thinking as you, if it helps you to feel better about yourself.

The map you have shown is an old map showing a nine county Ulster which was an Elizabethan English invention for administrative purposes.
Ancient Ulster generally refers to North Eastern Ireland and has had different borders at different times in history.
So today's N.Ireland with 6 counties is referred to as Ulster.

What's the use in offering a billion-pound bribe to a bunch of crackpot fundamentalists, if they won't do the job you paid for?

"The Democratic Unionist party has refused to back the government on several amendments to the finance bill in a move that casts grave doubt over its parliamentary alliance with the ruling Tory party.

Theresa May’s Tories do not have a majority in the House of Commons and are able to govern only thanks to a “confidence and supply” arrangement with the DUP’s 10 MPs in the aftermath of the June 2017 general election.

In return for backing the government on crucial votes — in particular the Queen’s Speech and the finance bill — the party, led by Arlene Foster, secured a substantial financial package for Northern Ireland worth an estimated £1bn

On Monday evening the DUP abstained on three parts of the bill and voted with Labour on a fourth, which urged the government to review the impact of increases to the personal tax allowance on child poverty."
Because the DUP abstained from voting with the Tories the Government has had to accept Labours amendments to the finance bill according to your hero John McDonnell, any chance of you saying thank you to the DUP, LOL.

Well you'd better go and change the reference books then, as they disagree with you. You could start with Wikipedia, as that's the easiest to change.

Indeed it is.

But only by the ignorant, or those so challenged that they think that denying reality will cause it to cease.

Yes, of course.

If they see themselves as fighting NI's corner then as the NI people have clearly spoken they should be campaigning against any form of leaving.

But they aren't, are they.

"There must be no regulatory divergence from the rest of the UK". "Oh, except, of course, regarding same sex marriage".

"Oh, and, of course, abortion regulations".

Shall I tell you what the DUP's opinion is worth less than, and smells even worse than?

When you voted remain did you understand the question on the ballot paper?
When a majority of the electorate in N.I. voted remain they voted for the whole the UK to remain in the EU.
They didn't vote for N.I. to be treated differently from the rest of the UK ,according to some opinion Theresa May has managed to alienate both remainers and leavers with her We are out ,but still in plans, and has made Britains position in Europe even worse than it was before the referendum.

The 9 county Ulster has had no official status for centuries and was created by English administrators the people who lived there didn't create it.
As I have pointed out Ulster is ancient Kingdom which has existed for 1000's of Years and has had different borders at different periods in history, the 9 county Ulster was an artificial creation and only existed for a short time.
