Earthing Antique Light Switches

Hi. we live in a period property and my wife has just bought some antique light switches with brass covers. They have no earth terminal so how best and safely can i fit these

Do they comply with BS5733....?

I have a feeling you are not going to like the answers!
 
They are pretty old so i dont imagine they comply with much at all. I realise i am not going to like the answers but on ebay for examle thre is a huge demand for these fittings. Is there no legitimate way to use them

Regulation 511-01-02 is the relevant one here:

Where equipment to be used is not covered by a British Standard or Harmonized Standard or is used outside the scope of its standard, the designer or other person responsible for specifying the installation shall confirm that the equipment provides the same degree of safety as that afforded by compliance with the Regulations

It would be upto the person signing the MEWC to confirm the above, and it should be noted as a departure from BS7671 if you read the wording carfully
