I bite the end of the cone off, scoop some ice cream onto that to end up with a mini ice cream cornet. I then suck the ice cream through the bottom of the cone which coats the inside of the cone. I then munch the whole thing. Don’t talk to me about various flavours. There’s only one - vanilla.

That is the correct way. If you're not doing it this way you are doing it wrong.

My first-born was telling me about a podcast he'd been listening to: a couple of YouTuber influencers - both multi-millionaires - talking about their experiences of skiing in Europe, and how fantastic the places were.

IIRC, they were talking about one visit that stood out - in an outlandish way - Gstaad.
They said that the opulence and otherworldliness was off the scale.
They got talking to a toff, and were inviting to an apres-ski (which was more like a gala ball, for blue-bloods).
