Afternoon all
I seem to have a hot water problem with my Valiant ecomax 828 which i think may be caused by the aqua sensor but am not sure.
The central heating is working as normal and the hot water is heated if I turn the boiler to constant hot water mode (however this seems to only heat a small amount - presumably stored inside the boiler). The problem seems to be when i turn on the tap as the boiler does not fire up and heat additional water.
I have tried the diagnostic mode and d.22 (hot water demand) is always 0 with or without the tap open.
There is a 5V supply to the aqua sensor and the signal back is also 5V - should this vary when the hot tap is open.
Is it possible that the sensor is jammed? Can it be easily fixed? (i.e. by a competent home DIYer). Looking at the sensor there is circlip holding in the sensor which is very tempting to remove and have a look at before calling anyone out.
You help and advice is most appreciatted
