No, I installed a few working for NORWEB in the eighties, since privatisation and takeover by UU the contracting section and the boffins who designed it have ridden into the sunset
Basic system
Teleswitch to switch signal to "black box", keypad controller to switch in water heating/storage htrs etc, via box of 12V pulse relays to outgoing MCBs all it really did was save you from switching heaters on and off at the 20amp dp, oh yes and a thermistor stuck on the HW tank to tell you the water was hot, usually dropped off after a week or so
