it kept crashing while I was trying to apply

then one worked

and I got an acknowledgement

then later an email saying

"Thank you for your application for a UK Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC).

We have reviewed your application and have found that you have already applied for a UK GHIC."

so perhaps one of the earlier ones worked?

but did not send me an acknowledgement

I applied for all of ours ages ago. But I'm not sure if they're worth the plastic they are printed on.

One must differentiate between an existing EHIC card and a new EHIC/GHIC card...

For example an existing EHIC card is not valid in Norway, Iceland, Liechenstein. You need a card with a union jack on it.

In addition dual nationals of these countries wouldn't have been able to get a new EHIC card, and are not certain of getting a GHIC card...

These countries offered the UK a deal with 100% of the previous terms to be met, but strangely the UK turned it down!

That's because they are not full and proper EU members. They submitted applications to join but then withdrew them. Why was that?

I thought you belived in the right to choose?

But they are in the EEA, and prior to brexit EEA/EU decisions were generally across the board...

Care to tell us why the UK decided to reject the opportunity to carry on with 'business as usual' with those three countries?
