The pattern hasn't changed much, if any, due to G Warming, we've had them forever. An odd one or two isn't disastrous, several in a row would hurt Aus and Chile. What starts them is a change in high atmosphere wind cells moving around, so it has to be extreme to affect our weather up here.

To write the Spanish letter eñe, hold the ALT key and type the number 164. That will give you the ñ for El Niño.

Thanks, useful. Also to get ° for degree type 0176, but you need num lock on on some keyboards.

Just look at MS Character map. It's on your Windows computer!
Alt 0186 gives you a more noticeable degree circle, º rather than ° , but some fonts put a little line under it.

Of course, but it's useful to remember the codes for ones you use regularly, it's a lot quicker than opening character map.

I'm old, I can only remember half a dozen. CM is on my toolbar so it's one click. Not everything works everywhere though.

See if you can get an Omega (Ohm) Ω or Ω symbol though, and sometimes when you save they change....
