Hi - I have a question:

My existing cooker radial circuit is 6mm T&E from a 32A MCB in the consumer unit to a 45A switched cooker control unit (with an integral switched socket).

I want to fit an electric oven (rated at 2.525KW) and a gas hob with electric ignition.

Can I run a single switched socket straight from the integral socket (in the CCU) about 8 inches under the work surface to supply the hob ignition?

Will I need to uprate anything beforehand?

Regards Phil

Firstly, a 32A MCB, supplying a 45A ccu!!!

Is your electric cooker and hob supplied with a 13A fused plug? if this is the case then you would only need a standard db socket outlet.

your cooker is 2525W so at 230v this suggests it would draw 11A, which seems fine.

This work is notafiable as it is in the kitchen.

Anyone else have any thoughts here
