I need to chop down some leylandi about 6"to 9" it will be a bit of a one off, so I don't want top of the range just something reliable if anybody has one they can recommend I would appreciate it Thanks.
The Titan TTB355 is quite incredible for £50, maybe slightly better than the Makita UC4041 for twice the price.
(I haven't had to get parts for the Titan, I just sharpen and service them for people.)

Well thanks burnerman I bought that chainsaw and it made mincemeat out of those 20' Leylandi the largest was 11" in diameter. Graeme I could have done it with a bow saw but I have a lot to do so this speeds things up.
You will probably find it very useful. I got an electric chainsaw from lidil ages ago. It is a fantastic little machine. No kickback. Slices through everything I have attempted cutting with it. Perfect for all those typical jobs. I was just using earlier today for thinning out a hedge. Bought a replacement chain for it not to long ago. Just don't let it run dry on oil.
Don't get me wrong my saw is great and very useful.
Running a chainsaw without the proper stuff is like using a table saw or angle grinder without the guard. All 3 I rate as the most dangerous (but useful) tools I own. If you don't respect them eventually you will pay for it!
