Electric Meter

Nonsense. The processes that lead to being cut off are exactly the same.
Yet again bumping your gums about something you do not have the foggiest about . And why are you saying cut off that's not what motorbiking is referring to .

Because it's true and what he says is not.

"....People with smart meters are protected by exactly the same strict regulations that protect anyone with a traditional meter relating to an energy supplier switching off or disconnecting their gas or electricity supplies. 'Your energy supplier cannot disconnect you without first assessing your situation and how a disconnection might affect you...."

Geddit yet RWR, Wail morons?

I thought the OP was in an area where smart metres can't communicate the readings in that case how can the provider remotely turn the supply off which is a feature many of you worried about.

Myth 4: Smart meters need the internet to work

No, they don't. You don't need to have broadband or Wi-Fi internet to have a smart meter. Every smart meter has its own SIM card. It'll send your meter readings remotely over a safe, dedicated wireless GSM network.

It's exactly the same process for both meters.

Ok it is a dedicated GSM network but not always that will send readings, I have a friend in a dead area.

It'll still meter their usage.
Technically yes, but he can't read them to phone them in.
3 of us have tried too and failed.
The account is now almost £2k in credit from the providers estimates and a solicitor letter was being sent to Provider last week.

He can’t be that stupid. He is now deliberately ignoring the facts because he doesn’t like to be wrong.

It’s odd because it happens all the time, so you’d think he’d be used to it.

Blue run and his mate are consistent at that at least.

So why don't they just turn up & fit these 'smart meters'?

I mean, if there's no problem with them . . . . !
