What is the best way to wire up the following: -

I have an Electric Oven rated at 5.2kW.
I also have a Gas Hob (electric ignition) with 13 Amp plug.
I also have a Hood, Hotpoint have told me the motor load is 170W, although I am not convinced that this is the rating for the appliance.

I have a single socket on the ring mains in close proximity from which I can wire a spur.
I also have the old dedicated cooker circuit which can be used which currently has a 30Amp fuse (not sure of the cable on this circuit, but I think it is 6mm²). The old cooker circuit currently terminates at a control unit with switch for cooker circuit and plug.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated?

Search the electrics forum. This question has been asked quite often.

However

Put the cooker on the cooker circuit. 30Amps and 4 or 6mm cable should be ok.

5200 / 230 = 22.6
Cooker connection unit has switch and socket so
Max demand allowing for diversity is 5 + 10 + (30%*12.6) = approx 19A.

Ideally I would extend the ring and add 2 FCU's for the hob and extractor. If you can only spur put the spur to a single 13A FCU and then provide a socket or FCU for each of the appliances off its load side.
