Electric oven tripping RCD when temperature knob turned

Hi I've tried testing the heating elements,fan motor and thermostat for control unity a d they seemed too be ok.Ive also removed the oven bulb, disconnected the heating elements and then tried turning the temperature into and it still trips.Any idea what it could be?It's a Neff double oven the top oven works.Just wondering if could be the actual temperature knob.

It is possible but it could be anything really and you seem to have ruled out the usual culprits. Also check the isolator and supply cable for burnt wires/contacts. Also the overheat stats and wiring. You say you tested for continuity but did you test for a short to earth on live and netral to each component ( apart from the elements which I presume you disconnected live and neutral).
