Electric wires cut by vermin?

... but imagine 4ft of that in the yellow of 3/0.029" T&E
I'm not sure of the significance of the area you have encircled in my photo - are you just selecting a bit where all the conductors had become exposed? ... and nor was I aware that 3/0.029" T+E had a yellow-insulated conductor?

Don't be silly.

But just in case my intention was not clear this is a small segment of modern T&E chewed by rodent copied from post#14

without any sign of any yellow insulation

In my case; 50 year old 3/0.029" T&E with red and black insulation (and no sign of any yellow) had been chewed over a 4ft length to the same extent but a part of that length some of the tinned copper wires and come out and shorted.

I didn't think I was being silly. They were genuine comments/uncertainties.
