chivers67 Some people fit an isolation switch in the loft or a suitable location for maintenance.

Most people don't as on the rare occasions maintenance is needed the circuit can be switched off at the CU. No one puts isolation switches any where else in the lighting circuit in case a ceiling rose needs maintenance.
