Just as a change of pace from Covid-19

With the upcoming change to red diesel (here) and the constant march of Electric vehicles (electric digger, electric cement lorry), and the inevitable rise of more pollution controls when do people think that Diesel plant will start to be an exception rather than the norm?

What's going to be the hardest bit of kit to move off Diesel?

Agricultural vehicles. (Tractors, Diggers, Combine harvesters) Military vehicles.

Agricultural vehicles. (Tractors)
The big combine harvester jobs where you'd need a battery weighing in at a couple of tons. Or anything that needs to be running 24x7 are going to be tricky.

I have absolutely no idea how Farm equipment is used in practice, my main education there is Shaun the sheep and I'm not convinced it's completely accurate.

Wouldn't like to be in a tank in a combat and having to worry about my range. I'm not talking about my shell range BTW.

I read of an electric excavator (or similar) on a site, which only ran for a while, then had to be charged via a diesel generator, though it may have been fake news, I was going to say it may have been a wind up, but who knows, Trevor Baylis's technology may one day be used.
