Thanks, I will bear that in mind, when you say combustible timber would you in this case measure from the top of the stove itself.
If the flue we can see above the stove, in the opening, is a single skin vitreous pipe, then it's from the closest part of the pipe to the timber. If it's insulated twin wall flue, then from the stove. And the manufacturer's safe distance from the twin wall would also apply (usually around 60mm).
