Hi all, I’ve tried following a similar post but mine is showing different wiring, as the title suggests I have the ESi esrtp6c thermostat on the ground floor and another on the third floor. I was wondering if it was possible to fit a generic copy Wi-Fi thermostat and if so how? I’ve added pics of the wiring of thermostat fitted currently and a pic of the thermostat I’d like to replace it with for the Wi-Fi feature. Any help would be much appreciated I’m aware a link wire needs to be added but not sure to which terminal.

Many thanks

Matty

I’m confused slightly, are both thermostats the same on both floors? Looks like you might have opentherm or ebus?

I think the extra £100 would be well spent. Your cheap wifi thermostat looks like it is mains voltage switching and your existing thermostat isn't. Get it wrong and you could blow the boiler PCB.

Have a look here...

You should be able to connect RH to 0V, and the zone should start heating.

However, you would still need to find a Live and a Neutral to power that new thermostat. A battery powered smart thermostat may be a better idea.
