Euro Combi Boiler Nightmare

Ok guys I am a newbie so go easy we have a euro combi boiler (STYX) it was working fine when we moved in but now the flame will not even light. First problem was it stopped coming on to heat the hot water when you put the hot tap on. In order to get hot water you had to put the heating on as well. This then stopped working and you got hot water for a few seconds then it went cold. The central heating was still working. Now the flame has gone out and it will not re-light at all.

We are knocking our house down to build another in a months time. Is there anything simple I can try? is it worth getting an expert out, ie is it going to cost lots?

It is very likely that the boiler is in need of service. It is quite common for 'engineers' to service the boiler in 10-15 minutes. This is nota service but a kid on.
