It's hard getting tradesmen to do little jobs, thats why people like Keitai pick up these jobs as people become desperate.
...If you had retained the skirting from the original door... It might even have matched!

Not much after joinery costs, but good practice. Should have put longer screws in though for plates inch and half would have been better. I reckon they may come out.@Keitai what is the going rate for a job like this? Not being snarky, genuine question.
