Euro Mini Hard Reset

You can't do a clean start without a valid engineers code, those reset codes only apply when accessing the "clean start" option in the engineer menu.

As above, the best option would be to get an engineer in or change the PCB yourself. An engineer who knows what they are doing should be able to have it up and running again within an hour, including a service/check over...

Hi, now the display is blank is there anything I can do to get back to showing the alarm status?

I held down D, entered 2000 and did a clean start. What has that actually done then?

Can I get the keypad up and running again? I'm guessing it doesn't know about the sensors anymore in the house? I have two sensors, one in the living room at the back door, and one in the hall way above the front door. I also have a panic button in the bedroom. Do I need to select the correct zone for my setup in order to get the keyboard to show something on the display?

D and 2000 takes you into the keypad configuration menu only, pressing A will escape back to normal time screen unless whilst in the menu you changed the keypads address! This will make the keypad go blank, you’ll need to go back into the menu and enter the address as 00 if its the only keypad on system.

The euro range has a back door method of entering engineer mode without a code however I dont think it works on the Mini...

I think a whole new panel is about £60, swap the PCB over and start from scratch.

Hi thanks for the information. Where can I buy one of those PCB's? Is it possible to disconnect the alarm from the system to prevent the noise while I try a combination of codes?

Clean start is only available in the engineer menu.

The different codes 2000, 2001,2001 will all work albeit certain programming features will automatically configure to comply with standards.

Depending on what version of panel you can force the system into engineer mode and then change the code? You will need to find the panel version and call pyronix (now own castle) they will tell you the one of three ways!! Depending on version of panel...the only expection is if the prog is locked of installed by a main company (they lock the program by default)

These panels do not have the option to lock the enginner code like Texecom. Any Castle/Pyronix Euro can be ‘back doored’ with the exception of the ‘Mini’

Look underneath main panel (metal box) there may be a sticker detailing the panel type. Let us know?

Hi All,

Seems I'm in the same predicament here. Recently moved to a new house where the previous owner never supplied me with any codes. Installer is no longer available. Was hoping if someone could shine some light on the process involved on resetting the NVM/EEPROM for the Euro Mini?

Thanks,

Joe

I have the same problem and need a reset for the NVM/ EEPROM for the mini was fitted 2-3 years no engineer code, I know this is not made anymore and could change the pcb I guess from the replacement for the mini, but just asking if anyone can help please?

To get in
Open case , remove bell tamper
Power down battery and mains
Power up mains ( with case open and bell tamper open )
When it says please wait on keypad press yes
Leave it ,it will go into alarm and after a minute it should automatically go into engineering
Change code , put bell tamper back in , reconnect battery , put lid on , reset
All done
