Hi, my son inadvertently put our alarm into User Programable mode. Unfortunately our "0" button has stopped working so i can't use 000 to escape. I have tried putting in our user code followed by "reset" but it just says "Off User 2". I can't find "off user 2" in the manual. Pressing Y or N doesn't allow me to escape. any suggestions anyone please?
I have read cleaning the keypad can sort faulty keys. Presumably the tamper will go off if I unscrew the keypad cover? Assuming my user code stops the tamper alarm, will the screen go back to the same message on re-assembly? Then if cleaning worked, 000 should get me back to unset? Help!! (thanks for any help).

Thanks Handymanjo, I’ll give it a go (cleaning the pad) after the bank holiday, (when I can call out a professional if necessary!!)

Handymanjo, when i take the cover off the keypad (one screw) and the tamper alarm sounds, will the keypad still work? (to enter my reset code)

It’s only going to sound on internal speaker …..disconnect speaker if need be

Hi everyone, took the plunge today and cleaned the keypad...it worked and it's working fine! thanks for all your help. One thing though, the tamper alarm did not sound at all when I dismantled it, so is that a fault or just the way it was wired/configured by the original installer?
