Evri collect and deliver to a parcel shop?

Look up your nearest collection point online - mine's a newsagent - then take it to them, they scan it then send it for you, old bean.

Thanks, all I really wanted to know, was could the item be taken to a delivery shop, for delivery to another parcel shop. I was unable to find out how to arrange that via Evri's website, or even if that could be done. I have certainly seen parcels being handled at my local Coop, so I will make enquiries next time I am there.

I have in the past sent things door-to-door, but I definitely do not want that this time.

Royal mail will leave a card, the recipient can then collect it from the sorting office.

Faulty goods? If so the seller usually arranges return shipping.

The sorting office is many miles away, a Tesco parcelshop is more convenient.

No, it's not faulty goods. Just a parcel of items to a friend, who likely would not be in for a delivery, but they visit Tesco frequently.

A little progress, but I still have not fathomed the Avri website. I enquired at the local Coop, parcel shop. No you cannot just turn up at the shop, with the parcel knowing where you want it to go - you either have to book it and print a label or somehow get a QR code on your phone, and present one or the other along with the parcel, at the parcel shop.

I think I finally bottomed it.....

The Tesco Parcel shop I wanted it delivered to, simply wasn't listed as an address, by entering the postcode. Only by using the manual address entry, was I able to progress it.

I've not had a problem with sending evri parcels from Amazon drop shops. Have only used to return Amazon products though.

Well, that was a complete waste of time, and money....

Evri collected the parcel from the Coop, took it to the parcel shop at Tesco, photographed it, and said they were returning it to sender.

The Tesco was listed as an Evri Parcelshop, but I couldn't find a way to select it as the destination for it to be collected from, so I had to manually enter the Tesco full address. No means to contact anyone at Evri, either before sending, or even now... What an incredible mess..

All that and what you really needed was a friendly chap with a black n' white cat to take it away for you.

I don't think Evri even allow an individual to send to a parcelshop, I'm pretty sure you've been told a load of rubbish by several people on this thread. They only allow retailers to send to their shops for customer collection.

You need to use Inpost. Some other companies also provide this service.

You're demanding that Evri provide a service that they don't actually offer...

Many retailers offer you the option to have your item delivered to a ParcelShop – look out for Evri ParcelShops as a delivery option in online retailer checkouts.

That might explain why I struggled to address to a parcelshop..

What a mess :(

I get most things delivered to work as someone is always in.

To be fair apart from Hermes losing a fuel tank a few years back I've had no problem with them, or Evri as they are now known.

Our courier even delivers on Saturdays which is great.

It seems this mess, might now be on the way to being sorted out. I couldn't access the detailed tracking, to work out where it was/where it was going, because it needed the postcode to be entered and Evri had changed the destination postcode to that of the eventual recipient, from the Tesco one. Once I'd entered the recipient's postcode, all became clear - they are actually delivering it now directly to the intended recipient's address.

Hopefully they will be in to receive it, rather than having the parcel stolen from their door step? Which was the whole reason for my trying to have it delivered to the Tesco Parcelshop.

Evri will not take in responsibility if it is taken. They're cheap, partly because they do abandon parcels in plain view outside. I've had problems with thefts but also with them getting rained on, these days I waterproof many parcels I send. Presumably their terms will state that they can do this.

They'll probably give you a photo showing it sitting there before it was taken though, just to prove that they did their job.
