Hello

I was hoping to get quotes for exterior insulation on my 1970 house however I have since discovered that my roofline will need to be extended as it’s currently not deep enough to cover the exterior insulation .

I have had 3 roofers over and each has quoted for a full re fit instead of what I’ve asked for! I know it’s a fiddly job but surely it’s cheaper than getting a whole roof redone? More importantly there’s nothing wrong with the current one! Two of them stated that I may as well get the whole roof done as the scaffolding is up and roof is 50 years old ………

Quotes are all coming in at around 25k for full refit

Can anyone shed any light on what I could expect to pay for an extended roofline ? The roofline is around 42-45 metres

Thanks

Dee

That is one heck of an odd, quirky design and would make builders nervous. Especially that very deep fascia (?).

Probably cost upwards of £7'000, including scaffold.

Appreciate your reply!

The facias are not very deep at all although they may look like they are in the photos . House was completed in 1971 and designed by a Canadian architect which is why it looks quirky!

7k would be amazing but somehow think down here in the southeast it will be more
