Extension - quotes required in the surrey area

Hi,

I'm hoping a few of you can give me a helping hand. (I have checked on find an expert, but none are showing).

Currently I live in Purley, Surrey. We are looking at having an extension added to our house, although we haven't completed the plans of what we want, we do have a good idea of what we want. The neighbours have a similar extension to what we require, it's just a bit larger than ours, so don't see any real problems with Croydon council.

Would anybody be interested to come and have a look, and give me an estimate within a few K? As until I have an idea of cost, I can't possibly know if what we want is a viable option. I'll even throw in a nice cup of tea.

Did you get any quotes? I'm just about to ask three builders for a single storey 20sqm extension excluding plumbing/electrics/plastering. I'd probably need one window and probably flat room. Also in Surrey, I wonder whether I'm looking at sub 10k 10k-20k or 20k-30k ?

Yes it all depends on a number of issues ...ie design spec, what you want included, if your house is bricked, or showing rendering, what sort of roof, any structure work which needs included etc.

It's too hard to give actual quotes - that's probably why I haven't got to far with my post.

My best advice would be to get a few quotes from recommeded builders - costs you can really pull out of thin air - you can get it done for 6 or 7k, but it might not be what yo want (and it will look terrible). Or you could spend 40K. Good luck
