I am hoping to have an extractor fan fitted. We should have had this done when we had the bathroom renovated (new suite & tiles), but foolishly we didnt. The condensation at this time of year is very serious, opening the windows helps alot but its now starting to get very cold. We have an airbrick right next to the shower (which is over the bath), I am hoping this were it can be fitted, if not it will have to come from ceiling. Is there a best place for this to be fitted in closeness to the shower itself, ie would the place were the airbrick is be too close???
Once again I am hoping for some advice on this brill site. I will await your replies.

You are looking at Zones and depending on height if above 2.25 meters it is out of the Zones other wise it is Zone 1 and the fan needs to be designed to be fitted in Zone 1 also it would need to be supplied through an RCD and you also will have either to pay council or use a registered electrician under Part P.
Either way they will have final word on what you can do.
Having seen this was already answered I missed it I had not realized you had added to your own post.
