I bought a new extractor fan to replace my old broken one. The old one takes L, SL and N and the new one only takes L and N. I have two questions:
- Can I just use the SL and N and terminate the L and have the fan work in tandem with the light switch, with no timer? Or do I need to loop something?
- I've (stupid I know) mixed up the wires on the new fan. There's two identical wires coming from the motor and they were marked by a sticker on the housing (Perm. L and N). Does it matter what one is what? I've wired it up both ways to a plug and the fan works the same direction regardless so I assume it doesn't matter?
Thanks
