Farage speaks about B.....

IIRC Farage called for a second referendum on the deal when negotiations weren’t going well. I suspect his aspiration is parliament or a place in the lords

garbage also called for a second (third!) referendum should there be a 52/48 vote in favour of staying in the EU...

As far as the uk is concerned, he is a traitor...

So he has probably earned his place in the house of turds!
Quite right it was third referendum

I agree with him, sadly the current crop of politicians from both parties have absolutely no ambition or drive. We all just plod along with more of the same. If nobody takes advantage of the opportunities that Brexit should have created then we are left with only the disadvantages, which is where we now are.

We should become a low-tax nimble country. No chance with the current lot or the next lot either, assuming Starmer will be the next PM. It probably needs election defeat for the tories to go away and remember what they're actually supposed to stand for.

The reason Brexit has failed is this:

If You increase trade barriers with your biggest and nearest trade partner, you damage your economy.

but Brexit supporters can’t accept the truth, so they claim its “the wrong sort of Brexit”

It doesn't matter whether we left, remained, and now re-join or stay out. This current government is utterly incompetent and detached from reality, they'd have buggered the country up whatever did or didn't happen with the EU, and will continue to do so.

What's really needed is a good hard term of the Labour party to punish us all and show everyone what incompetence really looks like. Hopefully this will give the tories enough time to become some kind of political party again, if not then perhaps there's space for a new lot who are capable of running the country.

Starmer will probably find some back-handed way to rejoin the EU in all but name anyway, so it's probably just a brexit holiday from the EU.
There is a rumour going round that Starmer is considering giving EU citizens living in Britain the right to vote.
Could be just Tory propaganda of course.

Has Bexit really failed?
Brexit is a bit like the Protestant reformation in Britain.
It eventually succeeded despite numerous attempts by traitors within and enemies abroad to undermine it.
Brexit isn't a single event, it is a process.

The problem for true Brexiteers is the EU.
While the EU exists in its present form, it will always be a threat to UK economic sovereignty.

Starmer wants to give 16 yearolds the vote.
Why would any politician want to do that.
It's nothing to do with rights or wrongs, it's just because younger people have always been much more likely to vote labour.

Speaking personally, this is exactly the journey I've been on over my lifetime. When you're young and innocent it seems obvious that being nice to people is a good thing, vote for the caring party instead of the nasty money-grabbers.

Then you get older, and see the harm that is done by reversing the incentives to bother looking after yourself. The unintended consequences that Labour don't seem to understand or acknowledge.

Also Labour always benefits from not being in power. The longer they're not in power the more people want to vote for them, just because it all sounds lovely and they're young enough to have never actually experienced life with a labour government. Again, it's the younger people who don't understand what them being in power is like.

The real problem for brexiters is that they didn't understand what it was, would be, and is

You could of course explain exactly what you voted for. Because that is EXACTLY what we have got.

That's just rubbish.

What's the point of brexit at all if we can't compete in the world.

What is UK economic sovereignty?

Seems like a made up term loved by people who cannot define it.
