Farmers on the march

However putting them up long term in 4* luxutry with 3 meals per day, spending money, free, healthcare, free dentistry, free bicycles
Yes, the Tories should have tackled it a long time ago. I'm happy to give Labour time to tackle it.

Agree, Tories are trecherous too - constantly promising big reductions in numbers and doing the opposite. Labour originally opened the floodgates under Blair and numbers are already up under Two Tier. Not a hope Labour will change anything except jailing more dissenters.

Least some comfortable middle class areas are now being enriched by diversity. Well to do Altrincham is getting a taste of mass immigration, exclusively bored young men from third world, at a hotel owned by Greg Dyke. They don't like it when it comes to their doorstep. :ROFLMAO:

They aren't "going after" anyone. They are making political decisions on how to repair the mess they were left with.
Actually they are doing what every government does...

Avoid going after those who avoid/evade paying their fair share and targeting those without significant influence!

Why?

Most other Western countries have far better standards of living for the vast majority.

The reason is because of wealth inequality

8 million people on NHS waiting lists is what we should accept, we must “cut our cloth”

Giving our most generous handouts to millionaires means we have less cloth to cut.

They could have made better use of the NI cut but their ideas are much like Trump's trickle down and keep our tax as low as possible. Even so it reached record levels. Tax cuts to the public can boost gdp a bit as people have more to spend. Short term growth that vanished. Pay rises much the same plus inflation effects. These vanish as well.

Labour are trying an accurately controlled general public purse where general gov income covers expenditure. Truss ran into grief another way. A tax cut that resulted in too little being available to match the public purse. That signals borrowing to do it - bad news as far as the markets are concerned. They are also well aware that things aren't too good in several areas of services the gov provides. As one money man said - under the labour plan it is easier for them to plan.

Billionaires are especially attracted to schemes that allow them to dodge lots of tax.

Hence the change.

I never knew they were getting this massive freebie, this massive gift from the rest of us. and even now it is still just a frction of what the rest of us have to pay

I don't see why I should be funding these people who have been born into this great wealth, into this idyllic existence.

Get them taxed at the same rate as the rest of us, and if it bankrupts them then so what, let someone else take over the farm and make it pay.

Ignore biking from the boatyards' 'struggling farmers' blather. His mantra amounts to 'adapt or die' (so long as it doesn't diminish the wealth of rich Tories). If they have to sell out to bigger farms, then so be it. There won't be much sympathy for subsidised farmers, especially those turkeys that voted for Brexit.
I remember struggling along on less than £50 per day when things were bad. No hoots were given.

If you expect a single billionaire to be affected by this then you are deluded...

Although in future they will be earning much more by serving you up GM crops and antibiotic filled meat when they take over the family farms...

Hope you've got the stomach for that ;)
