Farmers on the march

Only 54% of farms are owner occupied

Around 66% of farms are under 100acres

I wonder how many farms will actually face IHT

If you expect a single billionaire to be affected by this then you are deluded...

Although in future they will be earning much more by serving you up GM crops and antibiotic filled meat when they take over the family farms...

Hope you've got the stomach for that ;)

Yes, the dumb, know nothing townies are out in force on this one, wanting to bash the farmers for having some land that they need to pass onto their children to carry on producing the food we need for survival every day. Their green-eyed monsters can't wait to usher in the era of big farma - the massive growth hormone boosted factory farms. They won't be happy until we have to exist on the sort of rubbish that massive US agri-industry churns out. So what if we lose the smaller family farms that have been producing quality food for generations they say.

The GM turkeys on here should be careful what they wish for.

Regan's fierce attack adds no information, but he clearly resents the idea that some prosperous people might have to pay some tax.

His position is easy to understand, but does not provide justification to support his assumption. This does not make him right.
