Hi,
I have recently built a rear flat roof extension and am looking to finish all external projects A.S.A.P before the weather turns, this includes rendering, fascia and soffits etc. For this I will need some advice as I am unsure as of how to fit the fascia and soffit on this particular occasion, as you may be able to see in the images attached I have already felted my roof and created a drip edge. Where my joists sit upon the wall plate which is attached to the block work there is a small void between the joists and block work at the edge. All details are shown in the attached images.

Help is appreciated.
Charlie.

There is a trim that fits to you wall and then you can slot your vented soffit into it then you can place your capping board on your fascia.

Fix the soffit to the underside of the joists and extend the wall up

Or fit some noggins to extend the soffit down to the wall level.

It depends on how deep you want the fascia to look.

Don't forget to fill it all with insulation which goes across the wall

hold a level, level with the top of the wall then measure up to where the fascia fits up to, thats the size of the fascia eg. 200mm. Measure the size of the soffit bearing in mind its going to sit on the brickwork, fit noggins to hold the soffit down then you can fix the fascia and soffit together and fit them
