feeding of birds, foxes etc by neighbour

Stick some carpet gripper to your window cill or the plastic equivalent bird preventer. I have used a concoction of crushed chillies, garlic cloves and peppers to deter foxes with some success. Dont mind the smaller birds but pigeons are a blasted nuisance and the fox takes a dump where ever he likes. If I can catch it I will wring its bloody neck and it will be an ex fox.

Then pray enlighten us as to what pigeons do that other birds don't other than adapt and breed more sucessfully
They sh*t in their drinking water and the food source.

Do they really? You've seen them crap into a bowl of water or food left out for them to drink? Or are you just mindlessly latching on to years of dubious crap that's been written about them in the past?

I do find birds, mice, frogs, and bats in the house is a nuisance, how the cats get them through the cat flap I don't know. Feeding birds varies town to town, I know in Chester it is illegal to feed food to the birds except for one small area in one car park, many seaside towns also have a ban on feeding food to birds.

As to feeding birds as food to other animals not so sure, the problem is some birds are protected, but not able to teach my cats not to hunt them.

At least in this country the birds don't seem to hunt cats, I remember watching the Caracara on the Falklands playing cat and mouse where the cat was being treated like the mouse. I suppose the red tailed kites around here could attack a cat, but not seen it, know when they are about as the crows make a racket, and try to drive them away.

Yes I shall get a photo for you next time I spot it. Happens regularly in the garden here.

Food lying on the ground will attract rats.
