Hi,
Hope someone can help.
I have a 5 meter stretch of single brick wall, 4 feet high with one row of decorative brick on top (see pic ).
As we have no privacy at all, was think of building a fence on top of the wall. I would secure 4-5, 2x2 posts to the brick wall, my side secure 3-4 batons behind screwed into the post from behind, then use normal fencing 1x3 (approx.) to fill the gaps to a height of 4 foot (total 8ft including wall).
The fence would sit on top of the existing wall. However I have concerns will this be secure in high winds or is there a chance the whole wall could come down? Would it be ok if I left a 1" gap between each fence panel?
I am hoping the decorative brick row will be enough to act as a wind break and allow the wind to pass.
Suggestions would be greatly appreciated
