If you can actually read what I put, you will see I mentioned it was down to Length, Money, Luck....3 things that have gave him his success. I never said he was a LUCKY manager did I?

Do you honestly believe United would have won what they have if Giggs, Scholes, Butt, Nevilles, Beckham etc had not have appeared? If you do ,you are deluded. In them terms he is lucky he had that amount of quality come through at the same time....there is no skill in management in that case.

Bob Paisely was only Liverpool manager for 9 years, in that time he won the League 6 times, European Cup 3 times, UEFA Cup, 5 Community Shields, EUFA super cup.......that makes him in managerial years a lot better and more successful than Ferguson.......but people will look at the 46 trophies Fergie has won and rate him on that.....all down to the LENGTH of his management.

I accepted that he was a good manager but is he any better, or as good as Dario Gardi of Crewe Alexandria who kept his side in the football league for around 25 years without any of the financial backing and facilities that were available to Fergie.
I doubt it, and in any event I'm pretty sure he would'nt have stayed as long.
I suppose it depends on how you view being successful in life.
I know which I prefer, and I am pretty sure Dario Gardi is at least as satisfied with what he has achieved and probably has a lot more true friends.
Unfortunately football has forgotten that it is still only a game.

the cup winners cup was a BIG deal in its day now replaced by the europa league, UTD also won the league cup 91-92. so in those 7 years they won
