Ferroli Modena 80e Boiler

I have a ferroli modena 80e boiler approx 8yrs old
It was going to lock out all time but fitter replaced a gas valve ignited the flame
Now 2wks later when I switch on hot water tap it goes into lockout and needs to be reset each time for heating to work.....any ideas

I am not sure what your "fitter" really was.

You needed a boiler engineer with diagnostic skills!

The problem on that model is more likely to nearer the top of the boiler.

I suppose you should call him back and tell him that his ( expensive ) replacement gas valve has not cured the problem.

I expect we would have charged about £84-£114 to solve the problem based on my best guess of whats wrong.

But it could be just that he did not adjust the gas valve when fitting it. Some people think you just bolt them in and walk away. They all need setting up.

Do you think he is gas registered?

is the heating working without locking out?

if so most likely fault is the hw sensor or flow switch

The heating works fine and he has gas safe card on him

Jambo your boiler will be mazuri sana if your fitter looks at the spark
electrodes.

DHW sensor. Swap the lead to the CH one and test. Quite common. Change the pair
