Has nobody got a firestick on here? It’s been on there, free, since about when it came out in the cinema.

"Up The Junction" was on Talking Pictures the other night, a great '60s film with Dennis Waterman, Suzy Kendal, Queenie Watts, Alfie Bass and loads of other old film names. Fabulous views of London life from back then. It was one of a genre of films from that time which dealt with back street abortions, and an early example of media brainwashing OOPS no, "social commentary". Wonderful film though, very colourful, not like your drab modern day blockbusters with millions of dollars in special effects but no plot.

"Room At The Top" was on as well recently, surely one of the films of all-time. The ending is truly horrific, but not in a graphic way; all done by speech, gesture and great filming and dramatic acting. Set in Bradford too; which, sixty years ago actually looked like a British city rather than Bhowani Junction.
