a friend suggested i have a fire bucket (as i havent got one) but this is not what i had in mind.
One thing that is not often thought about is that with powder extinguishers there are actually two types: multipurpose and standard dry powder, the standard dry powder often been simply sodium bicarbonate (aka baking powder) under pressure.
simiraly, the same goes for foam types AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam) and conventional foam. However it's a fact people often incorrectly just use the term 'foam' for any foam type.
