I heard a single clap of thunder wake me at 05:30, this morning, then nothing more. I've just checked the rain log, and we got 1.8mm of rain between 05:30 and 10:00 this morning.

No rain here (yet), and I've got a digger booked for tomorrow. It looks like I may have picked the worst day possible.

The forecast looks very patchy though, we might just get away with it, or at least not get a total deluge.

It's allowed to rain again after I get the concrete in the footings later in the week.

it rained here a bit yesterday and storm around 2.00am -I had to go downstairs and settle my dog who was getting scared

Im in my garden office and the rain is heavy and constant at the moment (5.15pm)

I thought this was another thread about your new partner………. Only joking!

I had one years ago that pretty much left the sofa bed soaking. I would subtlety nudge her in to the (very) wet patch. Good times though.

Drizzle here in NNW London (17.50 hours). We had rain over night.

Apropos the dog, I have had to deal with three dying over a 4 year period (something I will never recover from). One used to literally pee himself if he heard thunder.

Enjoy your time together. x

Slashed down here.

New water butt full already though, and overflow is draining nicely up the garden (y)

Chucking it down here, Edinburgh south, there's thunder and lightning too.
It's the first time my wee dog has seen it, she stands on the back door step with a curious look on her face before turning heel and flying back in. After a few seconds she goes back for another look and repeats it.
