Fitting Heavy Shelf to Plasterboard Wall - Advice Needed!

Most of the ones I've seen have been that "cheese" steel.
They are, in any case designed to hold a straight down hanging load, like a cupboard. Not a load that will pull against the fitting and screw like a shelf.
Personally whether they were supplied with the shelf or not I wouldn't use them.
That's my opinion FWIW. What anyone else wants to do is up to them, and is of course at their own risk.
