As an update, I put flash band around all of the garage where the rubber membrane had been tacked onto the boxing. I then used a rubber liquid paint and went over the parapets and the flash band. I was only able to do one coat before a storm hit.
During that time there was torrential downpour and I'm pleased to say the garage interior stayed dry!
I'm now going to attempt to slope the roof (by putting shins under the internal beams) towards it's drain as there's now a large pool of water sitting on the garage. I'll also put another coat of the rubber liquid paint on when we get some dry weather.
Thanks for everyone's help, it's really appreciated as the garage has been leaking for a few years now since cowboy builders charged me £2k and installed a POS leaky roof and then f'd off.
Here's a few pics showing what I did. The first a closeup of the flash band before I painted it and the second pretty much finished apart from a small patch near the ladder, which has since been painted.
