Well I have fitted all my steelwork and the bco inspected it yesterday and passed it all so now I am going to be looking at beginning the timber framing. My question is what is an acceptable way to fix the timber together?
I am bolting a 2x4 to the top of the ub with m10s at 400mm centers.
I would like to know how to fix the uprights to this bolted 2x4

Should I use something like this http://www.screwfix.com/prods/69361...-Duty-Angle-Bracket-90-x-90-x-63mm-Pack-of-25

No need for brackets, called skew nailing but I always used screws via cordless drill instead of nails, also don't do the noggins in line, do them staggered position, it's just easier to do by putting screws on the end of the noggins unless you have sheets which need the noggins in line position

Thanks masona, thought of doing that way but was unsure,it will save me a fortune in brackets ;) :D

The framing is 2x4 so what length and type of screws would be best please?
