Nice to see the Lincoln Beard is still in fashion

The most interesting about that was the blokes lack of gun handling skills. You never point a gun at anyone or yourself.

Peace loving nation, all they seem to do well, is make weapons that kill.

Exceptions are made, y'know. Like when you and everyone else knows the weapon is unloaded.

People are shot every year pulling the trigger of a gun pointing at themselves or someone else that was definitely unloaded. :)

It's called a mistake, but if the gun was'nt pointing at a human being nobody would be hurt. Thats why its a basic rule of gun handling. If I have a loaded gun and you point a gun at me I'm entitled to shoot you dead because you have threatened my life.

As a former small arms instructor at Warcop (army) recruit instructor, the golden rule was never point a gun at yourself or anyone else.

However, there are always exceptions. As an instructor we needed the recruit to point his SLR (yes I am going back to the 70s) at our eye while we looked back at the barrel through a device to measure deflection.

We of course always cleared the weapon first.

So always an exception. In the video, I doubt that there was any direction that the gun could have been pointed that would not have had it pointed at someone. The place was crowded.

That said, even the cops can get it wrong...

And do you really, honestly believe there would be any live ammunition inside that building, let alone in the gun? Exceptions can be made.

Anyone who doesn't know how to clear a firearm shouldn't be handling it in the first place.

Did the holder actually aim the weapon at any identifiable object at all?
