Just submitted plans to replace the ugly looking flat roof on a double storey side extension to a pitched roof to tie into the existing. Pictures below

I will be keeping the slates, but most likely stripping them all off first and having them relaid with any broken ones removed & replaced.

Just waiting to get building reg drawings, but had a price from a recommended carpenter/joiner to build the structure on high level roof for £1450 labour only. Would then need to get a somebody to slate the roof.

Does this seem reasonable?

Not able to get all-in quotes yet without the drawings

Seems like a good price to me. I assume that does not include the scaffolding, as it would cost that alone.

No scaffolding at all, just labour to cut and fit new roof. Not 100% it includes felting&battening yet.

Any idea on costs to strip slates on old roof, lay membrane, batten to all roof and re-slate
