Hi
I'm doing a full project on the ground floor with all new floors.
The wife wants tiles in the kitchen, hall ways and bathroom. They will be laid on floorboards sitting on joists with 100mm rockwool insulation in between.
Would you recomend under floor heating for the tiled areas?
I could really do without the added expense, but if it needs doing, best to do it now.
It would have to be electric as I don't have the space to put a water system in, and it wouldn't be primary heating. Would still have rads on the walls.
Cheers

its personal preference to be honest, it is expensive yes, and yes it does heat the tiles, but dont think it will heat the rooms that you lay it that is a myth.
